Spice up Quilt Border with Seminole Patchwork

I just tried making seminole patchwork and found that it's fun and super easy. I simply made a strip from 3 fabric choices, cut it into pieces, re-arrange and piece them all together.

I managed to make all 4 seminole strips for my 9-block tapestry that I have worked on it for a long while.

At the corners, I decided to replace some red with pink.

It took 2 days to finish basting this (approximate) 108 x 108 cm quilt. I stopped every time that I got bored.

There is a wide variety of seminole patchwork, and I'd like to try more!

  2. The border looks fantastic on this quilt! I used to hand baste all my quilts like this, and stopping when you get tired or bored is always a good idea!

  4. that looks amazing! such a great quilt. If I stopped basting every time I got bored, I'd average 1 pin a day!
